Dennis GatensDennis founded LEOcloud to bring to market the first Space-hardened, scalable, multi-cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). LEOcloud Space Edgeâ„¢ IaaS will enable the lowest latency and highest security for AI and analytics applications hosted in LEO, the lunar region and beyond. Multi-cloud services hosted in Space will drive competitive and operational advantage for commercial, government and military organizations.
He is a thought leader for Space-based cloud services, and believes the emerging Space economy will require terrestrial communications and cloud infrastructure to be extended into Space.
Prior to forming LEOcloud, Dennis was the Chief Commercial Officer for Cloud Constellation Corporation where he had global responsibilities for sales, marketing, channel management, and strategic alliances.
Dennis has over 35 years of experience in terrestrial, aerospace and Space-based technology, solutions and managed services. He has a track record of bringing emerging technologies to market working, with global partners and service providers to introduce next generation solutions into their communications and cloud service offerings.
He earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and his MBA from Radford University.

Kate Zimmerman currently is leading HawkEye 360’s software engineering teams, managing how HawkEye 360 builds its geolocation processing pipelines and applies deep learning to maximize value from HawkEye 360’s large-scale geospatial datasets. HawkEye 360’s satellites deliver precise mapping of radio frequency (RF) emissions and provide the unique ability to identify and geolocate sources of RF from space. HawkEye 360 is leveraging a cloud-native architecture to manage complex analytic pipelines that leverage multiple machine learning models and other algorithms to provide deeper insights to our RF data.
Before joining HawkEye 360, Zimmerman worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) leading a team of data scientists, and prior to entering industry was an active-duty officer for the United States Air Force, where she worked on RF satellites and ground systems at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). She is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, with degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
